The Tribe team believes that the success of our communities is built on collaboration and partnership between the public and private sectors. This is why we founded the NoCo Trade Mission. We bring together 60 of Northern Colorado’s leaders for collaboration and an information exchange in a new host city each year, covering and expanding on topics such as municipal management, recruitment and retention, transportation, higher education, development and other topics identified by our attendees as areas of opportunity for northern Colorado- we do all this while getting to explore each host city in a cool, creative way.
The first annual NoCo Trade Mission trip took 50 NoCo attendees to Austin, TX. We learned first-hand how the Texas capital’s top planners and key stakeholders “Keep Austin Weird,” while creating a city and community where everyone wants to be.
The second annual NoCo Trade Mission trip took our trip attendees to Salt Lake City, UT. We immersed ourselves in the entrepreneurial, collaborative spirit of the capital city and enjoyed the place where elevation meets aspiration.
Our third NoCo Trade Mission attendees experienced a city for everyone, Boise, ID. We welcomed hearing about the shared parallels between our regions of the country and admired the community’s “do-er” attitude to create a special city identity.
Raleigh, North Carolina was host to our 4th annual trip. The City of Oaks did not disappoint. We were impressed by the truly regional approach that every business, university system and non-profit leader had- what was good for North Carolina was good for all.
Incredible connections, I was so impressed by our host city and inspired by ideas that we could bring back to Colorado.
